Pooooof (“we”, “us”) is a social app for sharing moments that disappear. Pooooof is owned and operated by IHEROTECHMI LLC (46763 Hayes Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48315, United States). Contact: support@pooooof.com. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Ephemeral content & messages

We do not collect or keep your chats, stories, or media as a lasting archive. Content and messages on Pooooof are built to vanish after the recipient opens them (or when their disappearance timer ends). Once opened / expired, that content is removed from our systems and is not retained for our own use, marketing, or profiling. We do not sell or mine your messages.

Information we collect

Account info — email, username, phone number (when you choose to verify), and profile details you add (photo, bio).
Ephemeral sharing (not retained) — photos, videos, stories, and messages you send are delivered to the people you choose, then vanish after they open them (or after the timer). We do not collect that content into a permanent library.
Device & usage — app version, device type, crash logs, and approximate usage analytics needed to run the service.
Permissions you grant — camera, microphone, notifications, and location when you choose to use those features. Photo library access is requested only if you upload a profile picture from your camera roll.
Location (optional) — only when you choose to use location-based features or tag a place. You can turn those features off anytime in the app or device settings. We do not use location to publish your exact street address on a public map.
Support messages — emails or in-app problem reports you send us.

Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider. We do not collect or store your passwords. If you sign in with email, Apple, or Google, those credentials are processed by the auth provider — not saved in Pooooof’s own databases.

How we use information

Provide, secure, and improve the app
Send auth emails (verify, reset password) and optional product notices
Send SMS / text one-time passcodes to verify your phone number when you request them
Deliver ephemeral content and messages to the people you choose — then delete them when opened / expired
Provide optional location-based features you turn on
Detect abuse, spam, and safety issues

Text messaging (SMS)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

If you provide your mobile number in Pooooof and request a verification code, we (and our messaging provider) may send you SMS messages containing one-time passcodes for account verification and sign-in security. Message frequency varies based on your verification requests (typically a few messages when you verify or sign in). Message and data rates may apply.

To deliver those verification messages, a messaging service provider may process your number solely to send the code. That provider may not use your number or consent for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

You can opt out of SMS from Pooooof by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or email support@pooooof.com.

Sharing

We don’t sell your personal information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and messaging consent data are never shared, sold, or provided to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use service providers that help us run Pooooof (for example hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, analytics) only to operate the service, when required by law, or to protect users and the service. Ephemeral content is shown only to the people you send it to, then vanishes after they open it (or when the timer ends) — it is not kept as a permanent collection.

Retention

Chats, stories, and media vanish after they are opened (or when their timer ends) and are not retained as lasting records. Account data (such as email, username, and profile) is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account in Settings; we then delete or anonymize personal data except where we must retain it for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Your choices

Update profile info in the app
Control camera, mic, photos (profile picture only), location, and notifications in device Settings
Turn optional location features on or off anytime (when off, we don’t use your location for those features)
Block other users
Report accounts or stories in the app (emails reports@pooooof.com)
Delete your account anytime in Settings → Account → Delete account (you’ll confirm twice). This permanently removes your profile and associated data from Pooooof, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Children & age requirement

Pooooof is rated for users 16 and older. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the service. Pooooof is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 16, we will delete that account and related data as soon as reasonably possible.

Security

Your connection is encrypted, and your account is protected with secure sign-in. What you share is built to disappear.

Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
